Time sure seems to fly and it is time again for our Annual General Meeting with a side serving of orchids of course.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, 23 February at the Grobler's house in Alkmaar. Tea and eats will be served at 17h00 and the meeting will start at 17h30.
How to get there - follow the N4 to Pretoria to Alkmaar. Pass the Nkomazi fuel station complex on your left and turn left at the Alkmaar/Kwanyoni Lodge turnoff. From there follow the Afri signs to our gate. You have to pass Kwanyoni Lodge, do NOT turn left before the lodge.

We need to elect some new members to the committee and any volunteers should please contact Nitsi on 084 414 7710 in this regard.
And after the formalities, we will discuss the plant table in some detail.

Paphiopedilum Harold Koopowitz AM87 - Grown by Van Rooyen Orchids
Papiopedilum In-Charm Handel AM80 - Grown by Van Rooyen Orchids
Angraecum Shooting Star - Spitskop AM 86 - Grown by Afri Orchids
Our own show will happen in May on the mother's day weekend. We want to have a spectacular show and need as many plants as possible. Remember to start staking and grooming soon.
Also, diaries the SAOC National Show dates (27 to 30 September), which will take place in the Rustenburg Civic Centre. Visit the SAOC website for more information.
